Rostov: Russia announced on Tuesday that Ukrainian drone attacks overnight caused damage to energy facilities in the Rostov and Samara regions. The incidents have prompted emergency responses and considerable concern over infrastructure security.

According to Anadolu Agency, Rostov Governor Yury Slyusar detailed the events in the Chertkovsky District, where a massive drone attack led to a fire at an oil pipeline. Emergency services were promptly dispatched, and personnel at the scene were evacuated. Fortunately, there have been no casualties reported so far. The governor also noted that a warehouse at an industrial facility in the village of Sokhranovka caught fire after debris from downed drones fell on it. Sokhranovka is significant for its gas distribution point, which previously handled a substantial portion of Russia's natural gas exports to Europe until operations were halted by Kyiv in May 2022. By Tuesday morning, Slyusar confirmed that the fires were extinguished, with no injuries or fatalities reported.

In a separate incident, Samara Governor Vyacheslav Fedorishchev reported that Ukrainian drones targeted an industrial enterprise in Syzran. He assured that air defense forces successfully destroyed the drones, resulting in no casualties or injuries.

The Russian Defense Ministry stated that its air defenses managed to down 18 Ukrainian drones launched during the night. Of these, 10 were intercepted over the Rostov region, and two over the Samara region. In a subsequent message on Telegram, Ukraine's General Staff confirmed the attacks on oil pumping infrastructure in the Rostov region and production facilities at the Syzran oil refinery in Samara.
