Belgorod: Russia said on Wednesday that at least three people were killed and 10 others injured in a Ukrainian missile attack on a settlement in the border region of Belgorod. Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported the assault took place in Maslova Pristan, approximately 16 kilometers (10 miles) from the Ukrainian border. Ambulance teams were actively transporting the injured to medical facilities in Belgorod city.

According to Anadolu Agency, Gladkov mentioned that the missile strike resulted in partial destruction of a social facility building. Additionally, the attack caused damage to the roof, windows, balconies, and facades of two apartment buildings. Gladkov noted that the missile warning signal was instrumental in preventing further casualties, as it allowed residents to move away from windows and seek shelter in safer locations.

Residents of the affected area are being relocated to a temporary accommodation facility, Gladkov added. Prior to this, a missile alert was briefly declared for the entire region.
