Moscow: Moscow and Kyiv on Sunday accused each other of overnight airstrikes that resulted in the deaths of at least two people in Ukraine's southern Odesa region, while also damaging energy facilities in both countries. Ukraine's State Emergency Service reported on Telegram that a Russian drone attack overnight caused a fire in a parking area filled with trucks, which was subsequently extinguished. The statement noted that preliminary information indicated two fatalities and one injury.

According to Anadolu Agency, in Zaporizhzhia, Governor Ivan Fedorov reported that nearly 58,000 residents lost electricity due to the attacks. Ukraine's Air Force stated that their defenses successfully downed 67 of 79 strike drones and two Iskander-M ballistic missiles launched by Russia overnight. They reported detecting one ballistic missile and 12 strike drones at six locations, with downed fragments identified at two locations.

In Russia's southern Krasnodar region, the local operational headquarters conveyed on Telegram that an oil terminal and tanker in Tuapse were damaged by fragments from downed Ukrainian drones. The headquarters reported no injuries and stated that emergency services were actively addressing the situation, noting additional damage to a nearby railway station building. Furthermore, they later disclosed that two foreign civilian vessels were affected by the attack but did not provide specific details.

Russia's Defense Ministry announced that air defenses intercepted 183 Ukrainian drones launched across various regions between midnight and Sunday noon, including 46 over the Krasnodar region. Both nations have intensified strikes on each other's energy infrastructure in recent months as winter approaches.
