Russian Tu-22M3 Bombers Conduct Scheduled Flight Over Baltic Sea Waters

Ankara: The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that Tu-22M3 long-range bombers from the Russian Aerospace Forces carried out a scheduled flight over the neutral waters of the Baltic Sea. The flight, lasting more than four hours, saw the bombers accompanied by Su-35S fighter jets from the same forces.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry stated that during certain stages of the route, foreign fighter jets also accompanied the Tu-22M3 bombers. This flight is part of a regular pattern, as Russian long-range aviation aircraft frequently conduct flights over neutral waters in various regions, including the Arctic, North Atlantic, Pacific oceans, and the Baltic seas.

The Russian Defense Ministry emphasized that all flights by the Russian Aerospace Forces are conducted in strict accordance with international regulations governing airspace use.
