Salah Overtakes Henry to Move to 7th Place on List of All-Time English Premier League Scorers

Liverpool: With Liverpool's 4-1 win over Ipswich Town on Saturday, Mohamed Salah overtook Thierry Henry to move up to seventh in the English Premier League's all-time goalscoring list. Salah's achievement was sealed with his 19th Premier League goal of the season, making him the top scorer so far in the 2024/25 season and surpassing his total from the previous campaign, where he scored 18 goals in 32 appearances.

According to Anadolu Agency, Salah netted his 176th goal in the competition overall, surpassing Thierry Henry's tally of 175 goals. The 32-year-old forward now finds himself just one goal behind Chelsea legend Frank Lampard, who has 177 goals in the Premier League. Salah joined Liverpool from Roma in 2017 and has since been instrumental in ending the club's 30-year Premier League title drought in 2020. He also played a crucial role in Liverpool's UEFA Champions League victory in 2019, as well as their UEFA Super Cup triumph.

Despite his current contract with Liverpool running until June 2025, Salah has announced that he will leave the club at the end of the season. His contributions to Liverpool have been significant, and his departure will mark the end of an era for the team.
