Saudi arabia: Saudi aircraft carried out 40 airstrikes on four Yemeni provinces on Thursday, including nine strikes on areas in the western Al-Hudaydah province, the Houthi-run Saba news agency reported.
According to Anadolu Agency, the agency, citing a security source, stated that Saudi aircraft carried out 10 strikes on the Al-Hazm and Al-Ghayl districts in Al-Jawf province and three strikes on the Al-Jubah district in Marib province.
It was further reported that 18 strikes targeted the districts of Mawza, Maqbanah, the Mocha Junction, and other areas in Taiz province. In Al-Hudaydah, Saudi aircraft reportedly carried out nine strikes targeting the districts of Al-Salif and Al-Tuhayta, as well as Kamaran Island.
The report did not provide details on possible casualties or damage caused by the strikes. There was no immediate comment from the Saudi side on the report.
Yemen has been engulfed in conflict since the Houthis seized the capital Sanaa and several provinces in September 2014, which led to a Saudi-led Arab coalition intervening in March 2015 in support of the internationally recognized government.
