Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia announced on Tuesday evening that its air defenses successfully intercepted a ballistic missile and 24 drones aimed at its territory, amidst heightened tensions across the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, the country's Defense Ministry revealed that the ballistic missile, which was directed towards the central province of Al-Kharj, was neutralized. Additionally, air defenses managed to intercept and destroy 24 drones targeting the Eastern Province since the early hours of Tuesday. The ministry did not disclose the origin of these projectiles.

Regional tensions have intensified following a joint military operation by the US and Israel against Iran on February 28, which has resulted in approximately 1,300 casualties, including Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei. Tehran has responded with a series of drone and missile attacks targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and several Gulf nations, claiming these nations are attacking 'US military assets.' These retaliatory strikes have led to casualties, infrastructure damage, and have disrupted global markets and aviation.

Anadolu's tally indicates that Iran has launched at least 3,955 missiles and drones in response to the US-Israeli offensive. The UAE has been identified as the most frequently targeted nation, followed by Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Jordan, with Oman experiencing the fewest attacks.
