Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia emphasized on Monday that maintaining a robust relationship with the United Arab Emirates is crucial for regional stability, amidst a recent disagreement concerning the situation in Yemen. The statement comes as the UAE has decided to withdraw its forces from Yemen, a move that Saudi Arabia views as pivotal for sustaining a strong partnership.

According to Anadolu Agency, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan, during a news conference in Warsaw alongside Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski, underscored the importance of positive and strong ties between Saudi Arabia and the UAE as integral to the Gulf Cooperation Council. "The UAE has decided to withdraw from Yemen completely, and I believe this is essential for the continuation of strong relations with the UAE," Prince Faisal stated, comments that were also reported by Al-Arabiya television.

The UAE has not yet commented on the Saudi Minister's remarks. The backdrop to this diplomatic exchange includes last month's capture of the eastern provinces of Hadhramaut and Al-Mahra by the Southern Transitional Council (STC), Yemen's primary separatist group. These provinces are located near the Saudi border, and Riyadh has accused Abu Dhabi of encouraging STC forces to conduct operations along this boundary. The UAE has denied these accusations.

In response to the situation, Yemeni government forces, supported by the Saudi-led Arab coalition, have succeeded in regaining control of the provinces earlier this month. The UAE's subsequent withdrawal from Yemen marks the end of its mission there, highlighting one of the most significant internal conflicts within the anti-Houthi alliance in Yemen in recent years.
