Ankara: Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman received a phone call on Thursday from new US Secretary of State Marco Rubio to discuss bilateral relations and regional developments.

According to Anadolu Agency, Bin Salman and Rubio reviewed ties between the two countries and aspects of economic cooperation as well as the latest regional and international developments, as reported by the Saudi state news agency SPA.

On Wednesday, bin Salman and US President Donald Trump discussed ways of strengthening cooperation to maintain regional peace and security. Bin Salman congratulated Trump on his inauguration as the 47th new US president.
