Riyadh: The Saudi Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday evening that its air defense systems successfully intercepted and destroyed four ballistic missiles targeting the capital, Riyadh. The interception prevented potential damage, as debris from the missiles fell across various areas in the city.

According to Anadolu Agency, the ministry stated that initial assessments indicated no damage or casualties occurred as a result of the debris. This development comes amid ongoing regional tensions, as Israel and the United States continue their joint offensive against Iran. The offensive, which began on February 28, has resulted in approximately 1,300 fatalities, including the death of then-Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.

In retaliation, Iran has launched drone and missile strikes targeting Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Gulf countries that host US military assets. These attacks have caused casualties, infrastructure damage, and have disrupted global markets and aviation. The situation remains tense as all involved parties continue to engage in military actions.
