Khamis Mushait:The Saudi-led coalition has announced the interception and destruction of a ballistic missile launched by the Houthi group towards the southwestern region of Khamis Mushait in Saudi Arabia.
According to Anadolu Agency, the coalition identified Yemen's capital Sanaa and the provinces of Saada and Amran as sources of Houthi missile threats. The coalition emphasized its commitment to continuing operations aimed at neutralizing missile threats and destroying their launch sites.
Coalition spokesman Turki al-Maliki confirmed on the US social media platform X that the missile targeting Khamis Mushait had been successfully intercepted. This incident is part of a broader escalation in cross-border attacks.
On Monday evening, Saudi authorities reported that airports in Jazan and Najran were attacked, resulting in injuries to three people and causing material damage. The Houthis claimed responsibility for three military operations against Saudi targets, utilizing ballistic and cruise missiles along with drones.
This surge in hostilities coincides with the Yemeni government forces' initiation of Operation 'Dawn of Yemen,' which aims to reclaim Sanaa and restore state institutions from Houthi control.
