Saudi-Led Coalition Intercepts Houthi Missiles Aimed at Khamis Mushait

Khamis Mushait:The Saudi-led coalition backing Yemen's internationally recognized government reported the interception and destruction of three ballistic missiles launched by Yemen's Houthi group toward the southern Saudi city of Khamis Mushait.

According to Anadolu Agency, the coalition made this announcement through a brief statement issued by its spokesperson, which did not include details regarding any casualties or damage.

This incident follows a previous attack, where the coalition intercepted and destroyed two ballistic missiles over Khamis Mushait and Jazan, as well as four drones over Khamis Mushait. On the same day, debris from an intercepted Houthi missile fell in Khamis Mushait, causing damage to several buildings and vehicles, though no casualties were reported.

Khamis Mushait has been a frequent target in recent escalations. On September 14, the Houthis claimed responsibility for a large-scale attack involving numerous ballistic missiles and drones against King Khalid Air Base in the city.

Saudi Arabia has led the military coalition against the Houthis since March 2015, following the group's control of the capital Sanaa and several provinces in September 2014.
