ISTANBUL: Several migrants, including a child, died while trying to cross the English Channel, French authorities confirmed Saturday. French Interior Minister Bruno Retailleau described the incident as a "terrible tragedy," adding that the child was "trampled to death in a boat." Retailleau blamed the tragedy on human smugglers, saying they "have the blood of these people on their hands," the Evening Standard reported on Saturday.
