Berlin: German tech firm Siemens AG announced plans to invest over $10 billion into American manufacturing jobs, software, and AI infrastructure.
According to Anadolu Agency, Siemens is preparing for its largest-ever investment in industrial software and artificial intelligence with the acquisition of Altair Engineering. The agreement, signed in October 2024, aims to enhance Siemens' AI-powered design and simulation portfolio.
The company's statement revealed that the recent investments, including the planned acquisition of Altair, a Michigan-based software company, will amount to over $10 billion. This investment is projected to create 900 highly-skilled jobs in the US, further solidifying Siemens' presence in its largest market.
With the latest investments, Siemens' total investment in the US over the past two decades has surpassed $100 billion. The company currently employs more than 45,000 people in the US and collaborates with approximately 12,000 suppliers.

Additionally, they will contribute to powering AI data centers in the US.
