Accra:A small boat carrying seven individuals approached and opened fire on a liquefied natural gas (LNG) tanker 140 nautical miles southeast of Yemen's Al Mukalla.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the UK Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) Center reported that the incident involved a small skiff that fired two shots at the tanker. In response, the tanker's armed security team fired two warning shots, causing the small craft to change course.

The UKMTO urged ships in the area to exercise caution and report any suspicious activities as authorities continue to investigate the incident. Further details about the event have not been released.
