Seoul: South Korean police raided the presidential office and the Presidential Security Service (PSS) as part of an investigation into allegations against former President Yoon Suk Yeol and acting PSS chief Kim Seong-hoon. They are accused of obstructing the execution of a detention warrant for Yoon earlier this year.

According to Anadolu Agency, the police's special investigation team targeted Yoon's December 3 martial law declaration during their search of the presidential office's secure phone server, as well as the PSS office and residence. This raid follows South Korea's Constitutional Court decision earlier this month to remove Yoon from office after his attempt to impose martial law.

The political landscape in South Korea is set to change, with the country preparing to elect a new president in snap polls scheduled for June 3.
