Storm Boris, the wave of extreme weather that has left at least 19 people dead in flooding in Central and Eastern Europe, is set to return to Italy Thursday after brushing the peninsula last Thursday, weathermen said Tuesday. Italy is already on high alert, particularly in Emilia-Romagna and Marche, for expected floods after the devastating ones that hit Romania, Poland, Czech Republic and Austria, said Lorenzo Tedici. "The unusually hot Adriatic will feed storms across the whole Adriatic Apennines starting Thursday and lasting until the weekend," he said. "We expected more extreme weather events".
