Syria: Syrian authorities announced they had thwarted an attempt to smuggle a shipment of weapons and ammunition from Tartus province into Lebanon. The operation was conducted by the Internal Security Forces in Tartus in collaboration with the General Intelligence Service, successfully preventing the smuggling activity.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Syrian Arab News Agency (SANA) reported that the joint security operation led to the seizure of the entire shipment.
