Hasakah: The Syrian Army reported that one of its military bases in the Hasakah province, located in the country's northeast, was hit by five rockets launched from Iraqi territory. This incident was reported on Monday evening, highlighting the ongoing security challenges in the region.

According to Anadolu Agency, Syria Alikhbaria TV, citing the Army's Operations Command, detailed that the targeted base is situated near the town of Al-Ya'rubiyah in rural Hasakah. The rockets were reportedly fired from the vicinity of the village of Tal al-Hawa, which lies approximately 20 kilometers (12.4 miles) within Iraqi borders.

The Syrian Army also stated that it has coordinated with the Iraqi authorities, who have confirmed the commencement of a search operation to identify those behind the attack. The Syrian military emphasized its heightened alert status and reiterated its commitment to defending Syrian territory, stating it would "respond to any aggression."
