Aleppo: A member of the Syrian Defense Ministry was killed in a shooting attack in the northern city of Aleppo, local media reported. The incident occurred in the Sayf al-Dawla neighborhood, where the victim was shot and killed by unidentified gunmen.

According to Anadolu Agency, security forces quickly responded to the scene, cordoning off the area and initiating a criminal investigation into the attack. As of now, no group has claimed responsibility for the shooting.

The Syrian administration is currently focused on improving security conditions across the nation and addressing remnants of the previous regime that are accused of instigating unrest. This comes in the wake of significant political changes, with Bashar al-Assad fleeing to Russia and the formation of a new transitional administration led by President Ahmad al-Sharaa in January.
