Washington: Syrian President Ahmad al-Sharaa will make a historic visit to the White House, marking the first official visit by a Syrian head of state to the United States in over 80 years. This visit aims to open a new chapter in the diplomatic relations between Damascus and Washington.

According to Anadolu Agency, the announcement was made by Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad al-Shaibani during a speech in Bahrain. Al-Shaibani emphasized the significance of the visit, stating that President Ahmad al-Sharaa will be at the White House at the start of November. US Special Envoy Tom Barrack, who also serves as the US ambassador to Turkey, confirmed to Axios that the visit is scheduled for November 10.
