Rimini prosecutors have opened an investigation into the alleged gang rape of a 16-year-old, investigative sources said on Monday. The probe by Carabinieri police in the Adriatic coastal town, coordinated by prosecutor Davide Ercolani, began after the teen called the 112 emergency service to ask for help. Rescuers found her disoriented and scared after she said she was abandoned on a street by two men. A subsequent visit at the hospital confirmed the sexual violence, investigative sources said. The young victim told healthcare professionals and police she didn't remember anything because she had been drugged. Source: Ansa News Agency
