Ankara: Medical charity Doctors Without Borders (MSF) on Monday once again criticized the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation (GHF), describing aid sites run by the US and Israeli-backed group in the Palestinian territory as scenes of "orchestrated killing." "This is not aid. This is orchestrated killing," the organization known by its French acronym MSF said on X.
According to Anadolu Agency, the charity called for immediate action, insisting that the GHF must be dismantled immediately. They stressed that no state donor should fund the controversial organization, urging the restoration of the UN-led coordination system, and demanded that the siege on Gaza be lifted to allow safe and large-scale aid delivery.
The controversial GHF began aid operations in late May, and since then, hundreds of people have been killed while seeking aid. Overall, Israel has killed more than 61,000 in Gaza since October 2023. It has kept all Gaza crossings closed since March 2, blocking aid convoys despite hundreds of trucks waiting at the border. Only small amounts have been allowed in, far below the level needed to avert famine.
The World Food Program reports that one-third of Gaza's population has gone several days without eating, calling the situation 'unprecedented' in its levels of hunger and desperation. The UN estimates that hundreds of aid trucks must enter daily to end the crisis.
