Aleppo: At least three people were killed and 15 others injured in a terrorist attack in the Manbij district of Syria's Aleppo province on Saturday, security sources said. A bomb-laden vehicle exploded in the Rabita neighborhood of Manbij, which is under the control of the Syrian National Army.

According to Anadolu Agency, no group immediately claimed responsibility for the attack, but local security forces indicated that the PKK/YPG terrorist organization might have been involved. The Syrian National Army had previously liberated Manbij from terrorists in December 2024.

The PKK, which is listed as a terrorist organization by Trkiye, the United States, and the European Union, has been responsible for the deaths of over 40,000 people in its 40-year campaign against Trkiye. This includes casualties among women, children, infants, and the elderly. The YPG is known as the Syrian offshoot of the PKK.

Since the fall of the Assad regime in Syria, the PKK has sought to exploit regional instability to establish a "terror corridor" along the border with Trkiye.
