Three Syrian Road Security Personnel Killed in Hama Province Attack

Hama:Three Syrian road security personnel were killed when unidentified assailants attacked their patrol in the countryside of Hama province in central Syria. The attack took place on the Salamiya-Athriya road in eastern rural Hama.

According to Anadolu Agency, internal security forces were placed on alert in the area following the attack. The identity of the attackers and the nature of the attack remain unknown, as no further details have been provided.

The Salamiya-Sheikh Hilal-Athriya road is a critical route in Hama's countryside, facilitating a steady flow of vehicles and trucks. Syria's General Establishment for Road Transport announced rehabilitation work on sections of the road in May to improve infrastructure and road safety.

Authorities are focused on enhancing security and stability across the country and are actively pursuing armed groups amid ongoing security challenges, including sporadic attacks on security personnel.
