Three women were injured on Saturday after lighting struck a crowded beach in Alba Adriatica, a resort in the Abruzzo region on the Adriatic Sea. Two are in serious condition, including a 41-year-old woman who suffered cardiac arrest. She was taken by helicopter to the Mazzini hospital in Teramo where she is being treated in the intensive care unit.
