Ankara: Trkiye's Foreign Ministry announced on Thursday that a declaration emphasizing the commitment to combat all forms of discrimination was adopted at the 10th Global Forum of the UN Alliance of Civilizations (UNAOC). According to Anadolu Agency, the declaration underscores the importance of dialogue and interaction among diverse cultures in fostering peaceful and harmonious coexistence. It reaffirms the commitment to address issues of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia, religious intolerance, and all forms of discrimination worldwide. The declaration also stresses that violent extremism should not be linked with any religion, nationality, civilization, or ethnic group. Trkiye's Foreign Ministry stated the country will continue its efforts to combat all forms of discrimination, with a particular focus on Islamophobia, and will support the initiatives of the Alliance of Civilizations. The 10th Global Forum of the UNAOC took place in Portugal from November 25 to 27.
