Trkiye and Russia Sign Memorandum to Secure Mineral Fertilizer Supplies

Ankara: Trkiye and Russia have signed a pact on mineral fertilizer shipments to strengthen Trkiye's access to fertilizers and related raw materials, Agriculture and Forestry Minister Ibrahim Yumakli said Tuesday. The agreement aims to diversify Trkiye's sources and mitigate risks to fertilizer supplies from regional conflicts.

According to Anadolu Agency, Yumakli announced on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal that the memorandum of understanding with Russia will enhance Trkiye's supplies of fertilizers and fertilizer raw materials. This strategic move is part of Trkiye's broader efforts to ensure farmers have consistent and sustainable access to agricultural inputs, aligning with the country's production goals.

Yumakli emphasized that the agreement will support agricultural production and ensure an uninterrupted supply of products to the market. This development is seen as a crucial step in bolstering Trkiye's agricultural sector amid global supply uncertainties.
