Ankara: Basat Ozturk, the director-general for international security at the Turkish Foreign Ministry, has been appointed as Trkiye's permanent representative to NATO, according to a presidential decree on Thursday.

According to Anadolu Agency, the decree was signed by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and published in the Official Gazette. This appointment positions Ozturk to represent Trkiye at NATO headquarters in Brussels.
