Tuzla: Trkiye on Wednesday extended condolences to Bosnia and Herzegovina after nearly a dozen people were killed in a fire incident at a nursing home. 'We are deeply saddened by the loss of lives caused by the fire that broke out yesterday (4 November) at a nursing home in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina,' a Turkish Foreign Ministry statement said.

According to Anadolu Agency, the fire broke out on the seventh floor of a retirement facility in Tuzla city, resulting in the deaths of 11 residents and injuring several people, including police officers, firefighters, and medical workers. Firefighters managed to contain the fire after several hours of intervention, while an investigation into the causes of the incident is ongoing.

'We wish Allah's mercy upon those who lost their lives and extend our condolences to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina,' the statement added.

Emergency services were quick to respond, working tirelessly to control the flames and assist those affected. The tragic incident has prompted an outpouring of sympathy and support from both local communities and international entities.
