La guaira: Trkiye's Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced that the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA) has successfully delivered search and rescue equipment, emergency supplies, food, and hygiene kits to Venezuelan authorities. This aid is intended for areas severely affected by the twin earthquakes on June 24, which have resulted in at least 2,655 fatalities and extensive property damage.

According to Anadolu Agency, this delivery underscores the longstanding friendship between Trkiye and Venezuela. Ersoy emphasized Trkiye's commitment to providing support beyond immediate disaster relief, highlighting the country's dedication to maintaining strong ties with friendly nations under all circumstances. He reiterated Trkiye's intent to continue offering shelter and basic living supplies to aid Venezuela in overcoming the challenges posed by the earthquake.

The aid effort by TIKA, which operates under Ersoy's ministry, was further acknowledged by La Guaira Governor Jose Alejandro Teran. During a ceremony at the Jose Maria Vargas Sports Complex, Teran expressed gratitude for the equipment and supplies, which included industrial demolition tools, portable generators, and emergency shelter materials. These resources are crucial for facilitating debris removal and evacuation operations.

Trkiye's Ambassador to Caracas, Naci Aydan Karamanoglu, reaffirmed the country's commitment to supporting Venezuela through the disaster recovery process. He noted that additional humanitarian assistance, coordinated by the Turkish disaster agency AFAD, would soon arrive. Teran praised Trkiye's continued solidarity and conveyed the appreciation of La Guaira's residents to the Turkish authorities through Ambassador Karamanoglu.
