Ankara: The Turkish Foreign Ministry has condemned France's Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs for its recent remarks criticizing the ongoing judicial processes in Trkiye. The ministry described the French statement as unwarranted interference.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Turkish Foreign Ministry asserted its commitment to "fair and impartial" judicial proceedings, emphasizing that all legal actions are handled by independent judicial bodies in line with Trkiye's Constitution and national laws. The ministry pointed out what it perceives as a double standard by highlighting recent legal actions in France, including the sentencing of France's main opposition party leader and ongoing judicial proceedings against certain mayors.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry also called on France to respect Trkiye's judicial sovereignty and to refrain from making politically charged comments on the domestic affairs of other nations. The ministry suggested that France should focus on addressing its own internal issues rather than casting judgments on Trkiye's legal system.
