Trkiye Says No Impact on Its Troops from Iran’s Missile Strikes on US Bases

Ankara: Trkiye's National Defense Ministry announced Monday that its troops in the region remained unaffected by Iran's recent missile attacks targeting US military bases located in Qatar and Iraq. The ministry confirmed that there were 'no adverse effects' on Turkish units or elements deployed in these areas and emphasized that appropriate security measures had been implemented.

According to Anadolu Agency, Iran launched a series of missiles at the Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar, a site used by the US military, on Monday. This assault marked a significant escalation in tensions following the US's recent targeting of three Iranian nuclear sites over the weekend. Additionally, bases in Iraq were reportedly attacked, although specific details about these incidents were not immediately available.

The Turkish ministry's statement also noted that they are 'closely monitoring' the developments in the region, ensuring that their troops are secured amidst the increasing hostilities.
