Ankara: Trkiye is set to allocate $1.3 billion for trade regulation, development, and facilitation as part of its 2026 budget bill to boost exports.
According to Anadolu Agency, the initiative aims to diversify Trkiye's export products, countries, and markets. The proposal includes support programs for research and development, technology, e-commerce, market entry, and participation in domestic and global events.
The 'Turquality Program' is a key component of this strategy, designed to elevate Turkish brands globally. The number of trade and purchasing delegations will increase to support this goal. The trade regulation, development, and facilitation program within the budget bill will support 34,000 companies exporting services by the end of the year, with an increase to 36,000 anticipated next year.
Currently, 104 companies are supported by Turquality and other brand programs, and this figure is expected to rise to 125 by the end of the year and 134 by 2026. Companies exporting goods under these programs are projected to increase to 380 by the end of 2025 and 390 in 2026. The program aims to boost the share of medium- and high-tech exports in total manufacturing exports from 42.5% by the end of this year to 44.5% in 2026.
Green compliance support within the program aims to enhance environmental sustainability and low-carbon production. The number of firms benefiting is expected to reach 160 by the end of this year and 320 next year. Trkiye's overseas contracting and technical consultancy services are projected to capture a 4.2% share of the global market by year-end, slightly decreasing to 4% in 2026. The volume of these services is expected to reach $27 billion by the end of 2025 and $28 billion in 2026.
The annual project value of overseas technical consulting services is targeted at $200 million by the end of the year and $210 million by 2026. The Turquality program also focuses on maintaining effective foreign trade policies, such as protective measures in imports and investigations into dumping and subsidies.
Electronic exports are anticipated to account for 2% of total exports by the end of 2025 and 5.5% the following year. Other objectives include promoting economic activities, implementing necessary regulations, and continuing efforts to develop cooperatives. The e-commerce transaction volume is projected to total $138.5 billion by year-end and $202.5 billion in 2026, with its share in total trade expected to reach 21% this year and 22% next year.
The number of women's cooperatives is planned to reach 1,300 this year and 1,350 in 2026, with 63 cooperatives benefiting from the support program OOP-DES this year and 60 in 2026. Overall, the 2026 budget bill has allocated a total of 58.4 trillion Turkish lira (approximately $1.4 trillion) to achieve these objectives.
