Lusaka: Trkiye will aid in the training of Zambian security personnel to combat crime in several critical areas, as conveyed by Trkiye's ambassador to Zambia.

According to Anadolu Agency, Trkiye's Ambassador to Zambia, Huseyin Dicle, emphasized his nation's dedication to support Zambia's efforts to tackle various crimes, including money laundering, terrorism financing, and cybercrime. This statement was released by both Trkiye's Embassy in Lusaka and the Zambian government following a meeting between Dicle and Jack Mwiimbu, the Zambian Minister of Home Affairs and Internal Security.

Dicle highlighted the interest of numerous Turkish companies eager to establish businesses in Zambia due to its stable internal security environment, which is conducive to investment. The Ministry of Home Affairs and Internal Security echoed this sentiment, pointing to the potential for investment in various sectors of Zambia's economy.

Zambia's Minister of Home Affairs, Jack Mwiimbu, praised the enduring relationship between Trkiye and Zambia, encouraging Turkish businesses to invest in Zambia, particularly in the textile industry. Mwiimbu noted that foreign investment would lead to increased tax revenue for the government, fostering economic development and wealth creation in the country.

The Zambian government reiterated its commitment to enhancing national security and welcomed the prospect of receiving training and equipment support from Trkiye.

Ambassador Dicle was joined by Ali Ihsa Ergul, the embassy's counselor for security cooperation and interior affairs, and Betul Akbal, the embassy's second secretary, during the discussions in Lusaka.
