Ankara: Trkiye will continue supporting people in need around the world, particularly in Gaza, and providing hope to those affected by conflict and hardship, said the nation's president on Wednesday.
According to Anadolu Agency, in a message marking World Humanitarian Day, Recep Tayyip Erdogan emphasized that Trkiye remains a leading provider of humanitarian assistance. He stressed that this approach is deeply rooted in the country's history and long-standing civilizational values.
Erdogan noted that Trkiye continues to set an example for humanitarian efforts globally, transcending political boundaries, and remains the country providing the most humanitarian aid in the world relative to its national income. This was shared on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.
Highlighting the plight of over 300 million people who lack basic necessities and face severe hardships, Erdogan urged the international community to take responsibility for addressing these challenges.
