Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded the day at 14,077.67 points on Thursday, marking a decrease of 0.43%. After opening at 14,150.52 points, the index saw a drop of 61.18 points from the previous day's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index experienced fluctuations throughout the day, with its lowest value recorded at 14,031.89 points and a daily high reaching 14,228.02 points. The total market value stood at approximately 13.64 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $289.5 billion, accompanied by a trading volume of 206 billion liras, or $4.37 billion.

The day's trading saw 35 stocks on the index registering gains, while 62 stocks fell compared to the previous close. In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,049.20 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were traded at $100.9 as of 1540GMT.

In currency exchanges, the US dollar to Turkish lira rate was 47.2360, the euro to Turkish lira rate was 53.8560, and the British pound was valued at 63.0120 liras.
