ANKARA: Trkiye's benchmark stock index plunged 1.09% to close Thursday at 10,871.48 points. After starting the day at 10,989.16 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index lost 120.09 points from the prior close with a daily transaction volume of 97.7 billion liras ($2.96 billion). The price of an ounce of gold was $2,362.75, while Brent crude oil sold for around $81.58 per barrel as of 6.27 p.m. local time (1527GMT).
