Istanbul:Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, ended the trading day at 11,116.99 points on Friday, representing a decrease of 0.92% from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index began the day at 11,234.39 points, ultimately losing 103.38 points from Thursday's close. The index's value fluctuated between a low of 10,707.18 and a high of 11,245.06 throughout the day.

The BIST 100's market value was approximately 10.9 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $220.1 billion, with a trading volume reaching 148 billion liras, or $3 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 27 saw an increase in value, while 72 experienced a decline compared to the previous close.

Elsewhere in the market, gold was priced at $3,995.5 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were trading at $117.5 as of 1540 GMT. Currency exchange rates saw the US dollar trading at 49.7370 Turkish liras, the euro at 55.7530 liras, and the British pound at 66.6060 liras.
