Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index ended Monday at 10,734.87 points, down 1.14% from the previous close. After starting the week at 10,884.87 points, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index fell 123.65 points from Friday's close.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index experienced fluctuations with its lowest value at 10,706.05 and a daily high of 10,928.38. Throughout the trading day, 24 stocks on the index saw gains, while 76 recorded losses compared to the previous close.

The total market value of the BIST 100 was approximately 9.94 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $239.5 billion, with a daily trading volume of 117.7 billion Turkish liras or $2.82 billion. The price for an ounce of gold stood at $3,952.40, and Brent crude oil was priced at around $65.25 per barrel by 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT).

The exchange rates were marked by the US dollar trading at 41.6930 Turkish liras, the euro at 48.8685 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 56.2450 Turkish liras.
