Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, concluded Thursday at 12,727.06 points, marking a 1.83% drop from the previous day. The index began the trading session at 12,911.44 points, experiencing a decrease of 236.81 points from Wednesday's close. Throughout the day, the index fluctuated, reaching a low of 12,716.79 and a high of 12,978.43.

According to Anadolu Agency, the market value of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 12.4 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $280 billion. The day's trading volume was 130 billion liras, or $2.94 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 23 saw an increase, while 76 experienced a decline compared to the previous close.

In commodities, gold was priced at $4,430 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was selling for $108 per barrel as of 7.05 pm local time (1605GMT). On the currency front, the exchange rate for the US dollar against the Turkish lira was 44.3600, while the euro and British pound were trading at 51.3395 liras and 59.3325 liras, respectively.
