Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, concluded Monday with a decline, closing at 13,620.95 points, marking a 1.57% decrease.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index began the week at 13,598.39 points and saw a reduction of 217.34 points from the previous Friday's closing. Throughout the day, the index fluctuated, reaching a low of 13,393.80 and a high of 13,873.91.

The overall market value of BIST 100 stood at approximately 13.49 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $311.19 billion. The day's trading volume was recorded at 236.8 billion liras, or $5.44 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 25 experienced gains, while 72 saw declines compared to their previous closing values.

In the commodities market, the price of gold was $4,710.55 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was trading at $66.30 per barrel as of 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT). In the currency exchange market, the US dollar was exchanged for 43.4840 Turkish liras, the euro for 51.3660 liras, and the British pound for 59.3565 liras.
