Istanbul:Trkiye's benchmark stock index, the BIST 100, concluded Thursday's trading session at 11,220.37 points, marking a decrease of 3.08% from the previous day's close. The index started the day at 11,540.61 points and experienced a fall of 356.75 points from the midweek's close.

According to Anadolu Agency – English, the BIST 100 index saw its lowest value at 11,220.37 and reached a daily high of 11,598.05. The market value of the index was approximately 11 trillion Turkish liras ($222.3 billion), with a trading volume recorded at 111 billion liras ($2.24 billion).

Out of the stocks listed on the index, five experienced gains while 95 declined compared to the previous close. In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,053.75 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were trading at $110.9 as of 1530GMT.

The exchange rates at the time showed the US dollar trading at 49.6270 Turkish liras, the euro at 55.7170 Turkish liras, and the British pound at 66.4970 Turkish liras.
