Istanbul: The Turkish benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded the first trading day of the week at 14,132.06 points, marking a decline of 0.28% from its previous closing value.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index opened on Monday at 14,192.88 points, ultimately falling by 40.20 points compared to Friday's close. Throughout the day, the index fluctuated between a low of 14,053.33 and a high of 14,236.89.
Out of the total indexes, 60 experienced a loss in value, while 38 managed to close in positive territory. The transaction volume for the day reached 165.7 billion Turkish liras, equivalent to $3.46 billion, and the overall value of the BIST 100 index stood at 13.64 trillion liras, or $285.86 billion.
The foreign exchange rates at 6.20 pm local time (1520GMT) showed the USD/TRY at 47.9030, the EUR/TRY at 55.5280, and the GBP/TRY at 64.9755. Additionally, the price of gold was recorded at $4,423.50 per ounce, and Brent crude futures were priced at $88.90.
