Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, concluded Friday at 10,898.70 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.43% from the previous day's close. The index, which began the day at 10,934.43 points, witnessed a loss of 46.79 points compared to Thursday's closing figures.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index experienced its lowest value of the day at 10,879.60, while the highest point reached was 10,953.01. The market capitalization of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 10.2 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $242.2 billion, with a trading volume amounting to 108 billion liras, or $2.55 billion. Out of the total stocks in the index, 27 recorded gains, while 71 saw declines compared to the previous close.

In the commodities market, gold was priced at $4,202.80 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was sold for $62.9 per barrel as of 7.10 pm local time (1610GMT). The foreign exchange market saw the US dollar trading at 42.4840 Turkish liras, the euro at 49.3190 liras, and the British pound at 56.3260 liras.
