Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, concluded Thursday at a record high, reaching 12,456.69 points, marking a 0.7% increase from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the index began the day at 12,352.46 points and gained 86.8 points from Wednesday's close. The day's lowest point was recorded at 12,300.40, with a peak at 12,472.88. The market capitalization of BIST 100 was approximately 12.25 trillion Turkish liras ($284.3 billion), with a trading volume of 176 billion liras ($4.07 billion).

Out of the stocks listed on the index, 71 saw an increase, while 29 experienced a decline compared to the previous day. Meanwhile, gold was priced at $4,615.30 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was at $63.40 per barrel as of 6.50 pm local time (1650GMT). The exchange rates stood at 43.1940 liras for the US dollar, 50.2690 liras for the euro, and 57.9625 liras for the British pound.
