Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100, concluded Monday's trading session at 9,276.78 points, marking a 1% increase from the previous closing figure. The index began the week at 9,215.15 points and saw an uplift of 91.96 points compared to Friday's close. According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index fluctuated throughout the day, hitting a low of 9,197.23 and reaching a high of 9,330.13. The total market capitalization of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 8.1 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $236.3 billion, with a daily trading volume reaching 96 billion Turkish liras, or $2.79 billion. Out of the stocks listed on the index, 63 experienced gains, while 35 saw declines relative to the previous closing. In the commodities market, the price of an ounce of gold was recorded at $2,619.10, and Brent crude oil was priced around $71.70 per barrel as of 6.30 pm local time (1530GMT). The foreign exchange rates stood at 34.3345 for the US dollar/Turkish lira, 36.5620 for the eu ro/Turkish lira, and 44.2160 for the British pound/Turkish lira.
