Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded Friday's trading session at 10,922.86 points, marking a decrease of 0.52%. The index, which commenced the day at 10,936.69 points, experienced a decline of 56.87 points from Thursday's closing figures.
According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index observed its lowest value at 10,815.65 and reached a daily high of 10,945.74. The market capitalization of the BIST 100 stood at approximately 10.22 trillion Turkish liras, equivalent to $241.7 billion, with a trading volume recorded at 117 billion liras, or $2.76 billion.
The index saw 32 stocks register an increase while 63 stocks fell compared to the previous close. At 7.30 pm local time (1630GMT), gold was valued at $4,073.90 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was priced at $61.6 per barrel. The exchange rates of major currencies were also noted, with the US dollar trading at 42.4435 Turkish liras, the euro at 48.8495 liras, and the British pound at 55.6070 liras.
