Istanbul: Trkiye's benchmark stock index, BIST 100, concluded Wednesday's trading session at 12,943.19 points, marking a minor increase of 0.08% from the previous day.

According to Anadolu Agency, the BIST 100 index began the midweek trading at 12,916.67 points, gaining 9.79 points since Tuesday's closing. The index recorded a low of 12,824.76 and reached a high of 13,086.15 during the day. The overall market value of the index stood at approximately 12.7 trillion Turkish liras ($289.9 billion), with a trading volume amounting to 161 billion liras ($3.66 billion).

The index saw 45 stocks rise while 54 declined compared to the previous close. In other market updates, the price of gold was $5,144.90 per ounce, and Brent crude oil was selling at $80.15 per barrel as of 6.50 pm local time (1550GMT).

In the currency market, the exchange rate for the US dollar against the Turkish lira was 43.9640, while the euro/Turkish lira exchange rate was 51.2140. The British pound traded at 58.8045 liras.
