Ankara: Trkiye's defense and aviation industry has experienced a significant increase in exports, rising 31% year-on-year in the first 10 months of 2025 to reach $6.7 billion. This announcement was made by the head of the country's Defense Industries Secretariat on Tuesday.

According to Anadolu Agency, this growth has resulted in the defense and aerospace sector's share in Trkiye's overall exports increasing to 3.5%. Haluk Gorgun, the head of the Defense Industries Secretariat, shared these insights on the Turkish social media platform NSosyal.

Gorgun stated that the continuous export success is attributed to the global defense industry cooperation activities conducted by Trkiye. He emphasized the country's commitment to ongoing efforts in this sector, indicating that these endeavors are pursued with unwavering determination.

In the broader context of Trkiye's economy, the country's total exports for the first 10 months of the year amounted to $224.6 billion, marking a 3.9% increase compared to the previous year. This data underscores the defense sector's growing contribution to the national export landscape.
